Lewis, Ernestine

(born: June 28, 1917  -  died: July 13, 2001) 

Mr. Ernestine Lewis was elected to the Bloomfield, KY  City Council in 1977. The ticket included Freddie Skinner. It was the first time the city council had two African American members.

Ernestine Lewis was the husband of Anna Stivers Lewis and the father of Ronnie and Larry Lewis. He is buried in the Bloomfield Colored Cemetery in Nelson County, KY.
