Lillard, George

(born: c. 1820) George Lillard was born a slave about 1820 in Anderson County. During the Civil War he volunteered to be a soldier in the Union Army,  trying to enlist February 12, 1864 in the 18th U.S. Colored Infantry at Wyandotte, Kansas,  but he was rejected for service as being too old.
