Josephine Torian was born in Christian County, KY, the daughter of Albert and Amanda Torian. She was a nurse and a midwife. She served in the Women's Army Corp from 1951-1953. Josephine Torian was the wife of Edward Atkins, and the couple lived in Nashville, TN.
