Colored News (Middlesboro Newspaper)

The "Colored Notes" column was printed in the Middlesboro Daily News on August 27, 1931, p. 4. Two years later, the column was printed again on July 1, 1933. The column was named the "Pineville Colored News" in the newspaper issues published on August 19, 1936, p.2, and on February 23, 1937, p.4. Starting in April of 1937, the column was consistently titled "Colored News" with the column sometimes targeted to specific areas, such as "Pineville Colored News," "Rose Hill Colored News," "Ewing Colored News," and "Tazewell Colored News." The Middlesboro Daily News last printed the "Colored News" column in August of 1950.
