Beam, Augustus G.

(born: 1891  -  died: 1935) 

Beam, a physician and surgeon, was born in Nelson County, KY, the son of Hines, Sr. (b. 1844) and Mariah E. Porter Beam (b. 1845), both Kentucky natives. Dr. Beam's practice was located in Henderson, KY, in 1915, and in 1919 moved to Covington, KY, where Beam died in 1935. 

Augustus Beam had practiced with his brother, U. S. Beam, in Lima, Ohio in 1906; their business was named Beam & Beam. He practiced in Springfield, KY, from 1907-1914.

Beam was a graduate of Curry's College and Louisville Normal School; both he and his brother received their M.D.s from Louisville National Medical College, Augustus graduating in 1906.

Beam was the husband of Ida Grace Reed Beam (b. 1882 in Ohio). The family lived on East 11th Street in Covington.
