McKenney, Warren

(born: 1892) 

Warren McKenney was the youngest person to ever be sent to the State Penitentiary in Frankfort in 1901; he was nine years old. He had been sentenced to five years for grand larceny.

Kentucky Governor Beckham overruled the prison sentence and had McKenney  sent to the state reform school near Lexington, KY. He is listed in the 1920 U.S. Census as a single man rooming in Lexington and working as a waiter.

McKenney was born in Kentucky.
