Lawrence, Thomas A.

(born: November 13, 1878  -  died: November 10, 1931) 

Thomas A. Lawrence, known as T. A., was the editor and publisher of The Light House, a weekly newspaper in Paducah, KY. He was born in Ballard County, KY, and was the husband of Mary E. Curd Lawrence (1887-1943); Mary was a school teacher in the Warren County Schools when she died in 1943 [sources: 1930 U.S. Federal Census; and Kentucky Certificate of Death Registrar's No.266]. The couple had three children and the family lived at 1406 Atkins Avenue in Paducah. T. A. Lawrence was a Republican and was an alternate delegate to the National Convention in 1912 [source: Political Graveyard.com]. According to the Kenucky Certificate of Death Registered No.500, Thomas A. Lawrence was born November 13, 1878, and died at home on November 10, 1931; he is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah. He was the son of Charles and Amanda Griffin Lawrence.
