Mildred M. Elkins enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH, according to her record in the National Archives, Access to Archival Databases. She was born in Paris, KY, the daughter of James and Cynthia Elkins. The family is enumerated in the 1920 and the 1930 U.S. Censuses when they were living with Will and Mandy Elkins in Paris. In the 1940 U.S. Census, Mildred was living with her mother Cynthia and stepfather Joe Lyter, who were married in 1934.
In 1943, Mildred M. Elkins enlisted in the Army. After her military service, she lived in Chicago, IL and later came back to Paris, KY. She was the wife of Edwin D. Mott. Mildred M. Elkins Mott died in Lexington, KY and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
