Cecil E. Jackson enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH, according to her record in the National Archives, Access to Archival Databases. She was born in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Anna Hurley and Robert Jackson. The family is enumerated in the 1920 U.S. Census when they lived in New Castle, KY; in the 1930 U.S. Census, they lived in Madison, IN. Cecil was the wife of Daniel M. Withers. She returned to Kentucky after her military service and died in Louisville in 1989.
