Alyce T. White enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH in 1944, according to her record in Ancestry. The following year she was listed as being in the USA (United States Army) on p. 405 of Polk's Lexington (Fayette County, KY.) City Directory, 1945. She was stationed in Lincoln, NE when she came home for a visit in November 1945. 

Alyce White was born in Lexington, KY, the daughter of Elias and Betty W. Robinson White. The family is enumerated in the 1930 and 1940 U.S. Censuses. Alyce had been a factory worker prior to joining the military, according to the 1943-44 Lexington city directory (p. 341). After her military service, she lived in Dayton, OH before returning to Kentucky. She died in Lexington and is buried in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.
