Glenn, James H., III, "Jimmy"
From Owensboro, KY, in 1999 James H. "Jimmy" Glenn, III was the first African American to become President of the University of Kentucky Student Government Association. It was his junior year in the undergraduate civil engineering program while also working on a master's in business administration. Jimmy Glenn won a second term in office his senior year, running against Keisha Carter and her running mate Charmaine Neal, both African Americans. Jimmy Glenn also received the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Distinguished Citizen Award.
