Anderson, Charles H.
(born: 1924 - died: 2001)Anderson was born in Crab Orchard, KY. In 1969 he became the first African American to win a magistrate election in Jefferson County, KY, and in 1975 he became the first circuit judge in Jefferson County, 3rd Chancery Division. Anderson was also the first African American candidate for election to the Kentucky Supreme Court, in 1982. He served as an alternate delegate to Democratic National Convention in 1964.
