Williams, Douglas

(born: 1894) 

Douglas Williams was born in March 1894 in Anderson County and is listed on the 1900 Anderson County Census as a son of William & Ella Williams. On the 1910 Anderson County Census, Douglas is listed as a 16-year old black male living with his parents in Peanuckle (a former village of the county).

Douglas served during World War I as a private in the U.S. Army. He is found on a list of soldiers from that war compiled by Mr. Wyatt  Shely, Anderson County historian.
