Bush, Hensley

(born: 1891  -  died: 1947) Bush was born about 1891 in Kentucky. His name is in the 1910 Anderson County Census, listed as a 19-year old boy living with his mother Lee and step-father Will James.

Hensley Bush appears on a list of Anderson County men who served during World War I. He was a private in the U.S. Army serving in a field artillery unit. He is on a list of soldiers from that war compiled by Wyatt Shely, Anderson County historian.

Bush died in 1947 and is buried at Woodlawn Hills Cemetery in Anderson County, where a military stone marks his grave.
