Priscilla Gardner


Priscilla Gardner retired from the Jersey City Free Public Library in 2019 after 50 years of service. She began her library employment in 1969 and in 2002 was named the first African American library director of the Jersey City Public Library (NJ). She started the Jersey City Free Public Library Foundation in 2004. The library was renamed in her honor in 2019.
