Colored People’s Column (Georgetown Newspaper)

(start date: 1889  -  end date: 1891) 

The first few columns were titled "Among the Colored People" before being renamed the "Colored People's Column." The column ran for about 2 years from 1889 -1891 in the weekly Georgetown Times and appeared in almost every issue in that time-period and covered the news of the African American community in Scott County. The Georgetown Times newspapers has been made available online by the Scott County Public Library in Georgetown, KY.
