Jessie M. Lawson was married when she enlisted in the Army in Fort Hayes, OH in 1942, according to her record in the National Archives, Access to Archival Databases. Lawson was born in Kentucky. When she enlisted, she was living in Fayetteville, WV, working as a cook. Jessie Lawson divorced George Lawson in Fayetteville in 1946.
