Lucy Beckett Laury was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, the daughter of Queen Victoria Perkins and George R. Laury, Sr. The family is enumerated in the 1920-1940 U.S. Censuses. In 1943 Lucy B. Laury enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH, according to her record in the National Archives, Access to Archival Databases. [Her last name is spelled "Laurie" in her enlistment record.] 

After her military service, Lucy B. Laury lived in Indianapolis, IN. She married Norris D. Mosley in 1947. Lucy next lived in Cleveland, OH, where she was a clerk for 30 years at the Naval Finance Center, retiring in 1984. She died in Indianapolis in 1986 and is buried in the Woodlawn  Hills Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY.
