Neva E. Coffey was living in Louisville, KY when she enlisted in the Army in Cincinnati, OH, according to the record in Ancestry. She was born in Burkesville, KY, the daughter of Mary B. Alexander and Bledsoe Coffey. The family was enumerated in the 1930 and 1940 U.S. Censuses when they lived in Monticello, KY.

Neva enlisted in the Army in 1942 and received her discharged in 1943. She married William C. Adams, a waiter, in 1946 when they both lived in Cincinnati. In 1948, they moved to Dayton, OH, where Neva Esther Coffey Adams died in 2006.
