Richardson, Lawrence

(born: 1912) 

Lawrence Richardson was born in Danville, Ky, the son of Eitherone (sp?) and Mabel Richardson. In 1920, the family lived on North First Street, according to the U.S. Federal Census. Lawrence Richardson would become a probation officer in New York. In 1940, he married Margaret Allison Bonds (1913-1972), a noted composer, pianist, and music director; in 1933, she was the first African American soloist to appear with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
