Former City Librarian in New Haven, Connecticut, 2000-2010. He also served as the Deputy Director of The Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland, 1993-2000. He was the Assistant Director of the Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1986-1993.
