McCoy, Wayne Anthony

(born: 1941  -  died: 2000) 

Wayne A. McCoy was a national expert on government bonds. A lawyer in Chicago, IL, he was the personal attorney of former NBA player Michael Jordan. As a partner in the law firm of Schiff, Hardin, and Waite, McCoy was one of the first African Americans to become a partner in a major law firm in Chicago.

McCoy was born in Louisville, KY, the son of Herbert B. and Martha Nuckolls McCoy. He graduated from Indiana University and the University of Michigan Law School.
