Little, Chester H.(born: 1907 - died: 1983)
Chester H. Little was born October 12, 1907, in Paducah, KY. He received an honorary degree in 1971 from Indiana Christian University. Little was a community and civic leader who held a number of positions in various organizations, including first vice president of the Malleable Foundry Employee Credit Union in Indianapolis and president of the Marion County Council on Aging. In 1956, Little was president of the Progressive Community Club in Indianapolis and led the organization when it became a member of the Federation of Associated Clubs (FAC). Little was the first vice president of FAC from 1956-1978. He was also on the board of directors of the Indianapolis Urban League, and captain of the auxiliary police. He retired from the Eli Lillie Company where he was an assistant lab technician. Chester H. Little died in Indianapolis, IN, on February 22, 1983. He was the son of Henry and Fannie Little, and he was the husband of Leone Bryson Little. Chester H. Little is buried in Washington Park-North, in Indianapolis, IN.
