Potter, R. G. (1901-1987) Collection

Potter was a salesman and sometimes photographer who collected local history photographs from the period 1880-1930. He then copied and peddled the images for use as decoration in Louisville businesses, hotels, and restaurants.

The collection includes images of African Americans.
The collection, which contains 13,700 prints, is  available at the University of Louisville Library Photographic Archives.
