Graham, Derrick W.

(born: June 9, 1958) 

Born in Frankfort, KY, Derrick Graham has been an educator and, since 2003, an elected state representative (D-Frankfort). He was the first African American to serve the 57th District.

Graham was a teacher at Frankfort High School, a  city commissioner in Frankfort (1992-2000), a student regent, and later a Board of Regent member at Kentucky State University. He received an endorsement from the Kentucky Education Association during his campaign for the House.

Graham is a graduate of Kentucky State University (BA) and Ohio State University (MA).
