Bartleson, Truman, Sr.

(born: December 1, 1925  -  died: November 9, 2000

Truman Bartleson, Sr., born in Burgin, KY, was the first African American elected to the Harrodsburg, KY, Board of Education. Bartleson was employed at the Hall Mack Corp. He was a coach with Mercer Little League Baseball, and he had served on the Harrodsburg Board of Education. Truman Bartleson, Sr. was the son of Warren and Dora A. Boggs Bartleson, and the wife of Jennie VanArdall Smith Bartleson.
