Thomas, Jay V., Sr.

(born: 1930  -  died: 2003) 

Jay V. Thomas was the first African American photographer on the staff of the Louisville, KY newspaper, the Courier-Journal. He was also a photographer for the Louisville Defender. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he is buried in the Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, KY.
