Chambers, William A.

(born: 1898  -  died: 1995) 

William Alexander Chambers was born in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Nannie V. Chambers. He later relocated to Indianapolis, where he became an aspiring fiction writer and journalist. He served as editor of three African American weeklies: the Indianapolis Recorder, the Freeman, and the Indianapolis Ledger. Chambers was also a writer for the Indiana Herald. The William A.
