Beaumont, James T.

(born: 1939  -  died: Dec. 12, 2007) 

In 1969, James Beaumont was the first African American councilman in La Grange, KY. He attended Kentucky State University and is a graduate of Watterson College with an associate's degree in business. The James T. Beaumont Community Center in LaGrange is named in his honor.
