Tyler, Nancy Pe-ral

(born: June 26, 1939  -  died: April 26, 2023) 

Nancy P. Tyler was the daughter of Jewel and Ocala Tyler. From Hickory, KY, Nancy Tyler was the first African American to graduate from Murray State University, in 1961 receiving her B.S. in Elementary Education. She later earned her master's degree in education. While a student, Tyler was a member of the Association for Childhood Education and the Student National Education Association. She was a school teacher in Kentucky for 36 years. Nancy P. Tyler Demartra died in Louisville, KY.
