Lucille M. Johnson was separated from her husband when she enlisted in the Army in Fort Hayes, OH, according to her record in the National Archives, Access to Archival Databases. She was born in London, KY. She was a nurse whose permanent residence was given as Fairmont, WV on her enlistment application. She left from Terrace Village in Pittsburgh, PA for her basic training at Fort Des Moines, IA.

Lucille served with the Medical Detachment Section II. After her military service, her Pennsylvania military application for compensation was denied: "Disallowed. Non-resident of Penna. at time of entry into active duty." Her home address on the compensation application was in Cleveland, OH, where she died in 1955. She is buried in Highland Park Cemetery.
