Kentucky State Colored Beauticians Association [Sarah E. Thomas]

The first annual meeting of the Kentucky State Colored Beautician's Association was held in Lexington, KY, in 1937. Mrs. Sarah E. Thomas of Louisville was named president. Her beauty shop was located at 703 W. Walnut Street in Louisville, and she was manager of Madam C. J. Walker Beauty College at 707 1/2 W.
