Gordon, Sheryl E.

(born: 1966) 

In 2006, Sheryl E. Gordon was the first woman to be hired as a fraud investigator in the Kentucky Office of Insurance (now the Kentucky Department of Insurance. She joined the division in 2005, and was a special investigator. Gordon graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice's 365th Law Enforcement Basic Training Academy in 2006, having earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in 1989. The training academy is located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. The Kentucky Department of Insurance is an agency within the Public Protection Cabinet. Sheryl E. Gordon is also the first African American woman to be contracted by the the United States Marshals Service Western District of Kentucky as a Court Security Officer. For more see Sheryl E.
