Wright, Lillian Taylor

Wright was one of the first four African American students to take library classes (at home) from the University of Kentucky Extension Program, in 1952, completing her library degree at Atlanta University [now Clark-Atlanta University]. Her thesis, Thomas Fountain Blue: pioneer librarian, 1866-1935 [available online in the Kentucky Digital Library] was one of the very few studies of African American librarians in the U.S. Wright was a librarian at Kentucky State University.
