The Bluegrass Chronicle was a weekly African American newspaper in Lexington, KY, published from April 1978 - May 1980. The paper was owned by Edgar Wallace, an Urban County Councilman and former president of the Lexington NAACP. The newspaper was started because Wallace felt the Lexington Leader and the Lexington Herald were not adequately covering Lexington's Black community. Circulation was about 2,000.
