The Community Voice newspaper was founded in Lexington, KY, by Donald L. Cordray (born 1952 in Lexington), who was also the editor and publisher. The biweekly publication focused on the African American community in Lexington, and had a circulation of 10,000, mainly in Lexington and Louisville. It was one of the first African American newspapers in Lexington since the early 1900s, and would be followed by the newspaper Key Newsjournal in 2004. For more see M.
