A life-long resident of Paris, KY, Kelley is a veterinarian and a writer who has done a phenomenal number of interviews with players from the Negro leagues. Kelley is not an African American. He is author of They Too Wore Pinstripes, Voices from the Negro Leagues, The Negro Leagues Revisited, and other titles.
