Jewish Hospital (Louisville, KY)

Jewish Hospital was one of the first hospitals in Louisville to be integrated. Dr. Joan E. Thomas, a medical student in the 1960s who later practiced on the West End of Louisville, recalled that the Jewish Hospital was one of the first white hospitals in Louisville willing to take Black patients.
