Lynch Demons (Lynch, KY, baseball team)

In 1935, the baseball team, Lynch Demons, was considered the best colored baseball team in Kentucky. On October 1, they were scheduled to play the Kingsport Tigers on their home field; the Tigers were a colored baseball team from Tennessee with a record of 19-5. The Lynch Demons had a record of 34 wins and one loss. For more see "Tigers to battle Lynch on Sunday," Kingsport Times, 08/29/1934, p. 2.
